Oh dear, I have fallen way off the wagon this week 😦 I’ve felt under the weather for a few days now, coupled with a really hectic week at work (I recently changed roles in my company and am still in the learning phase where everything needs 100% concentration). This has meant that the takeaway menu has proved to be our friend this week. Its all I could do last night to stay awake long enough to ring for a pizza!
The thing that annoys me the most about this situation is that I know its not good for us. If I feel tired and sluggish and order a takeout guess what happens! Sure I may get an energy boost for an hour or so but once that has faded I’m back feeling as bad as before. And when its gone on for a couple of days… I’m left wondering how the hell I get out of this slump.
Having tweeted that very question the other day, the answer was obvious – One step at a time!
So today I took step one which included:
Snacking on fresh fruit instead of carp!
Increasing my water intake
And eating healthy food!
Toasted Cinnamon Raisin bagel with butter and grapes
Leftovers from last night. One slice is ‘Cowboy’ (Chicken, Ham, Pepperoni and BBQ sauce and one slice of ‘Chicken Sensation’ (Chicken, peppers, sweetcorn and spring onion).
Followed by some greek yogurt and granola
That looks like loads of granola, but I must have piled it all on one side! I weighed out one serving according to the box
And the final part of step 1….. BLOG!!!!!
Step 1 is always the hardest, but now that its completed the next steps just follow on!
