I’m really sorry for my absence yet again, something has been happening in my personal life that I’m not able to talk to you about yet but its meant a very busy week for hubby and I. We’ve had loads to talk about 🙂

I promise that as soon as I can I will tell you the secret but until then lets just say its made us really keen to get on with sorting the house and clearing out the clutter. So thats what we have been doing today – we managed to find loads of items for the charity shop and loads for ebay (plus recycling and rubbish). All in all its been a successful day but not the most exciting ever.

I was woken up this morning by the heavy rain and after showering and dressing came down for yogurt and cereal followed by a raspberry, banana and orange juice smoothie. An easy way to start the day with some fruit.

Having worked hard in our spare room all morning we paused for a lunch of leftover pizza from last night (oops, hadn’t I mentioned that?? 🙂 ) Unfortunately that went down too quickly to grab a photo.

Tidying and sorting in the bedroom beckoned but we both felt we would benefit from some fresh air so we jumped in the car and headed to a local farm shop where we picked up local Pork & Apple burgers, free range eggs and some tuna & mozzarella fishcakes. Having braved the rain we decided to stop in the cafe for a hot chocolate to warm up. I had the works – cream, marshmallows and a flake. It was so good and just what I needed to warm up.

When we got back home about 2.30 we carried on with our sorting in the bedroom. I managed to rearrange my bedside drawers and discovered that I have enough body lotions of various types to last a lifetime so I need to get on and use them!

Once we finished hubby and I changed the bedding and hoovered the floor. I love the feel of new bedding and can’t wait to jump in between the crisp sheets tonight. I think the weather is to blame but I have not been able to wake up properly today and I feel really tired.. Hopefully a nice long sleep and a lie in will sort that out.

Also in the Farm Shop we picked up a packet of local produced chocolate chip biscuits. We had  couple with a cup of tea while watching Brothers & Sisters and chilling on the sofa

For dinner we decided to cook up some of the Pork & Apple burgers from the farm shop. I served mine in a bun with low fat mayo, lettuce and tomato. On the side is cucumber, tomato, lettuce and a few baked onion rings

Yum yum! I love picking things like this up in the Farm Shop as they taste a million times better than from a supermarket.

Chilling out in front of the X-Factor now with a large glass of water – I can’t get enough liquid recently. Not sure what is on the cards for tomorrow – the weather forecast is really bad but we have some shopping to do. Have a fun Saturday night!

  1. Hi Jo,

I’m so sorry I haven’t returned the blogger questions yet. I’ve just been a mess and totally forgot about it! I will make it a priority before we move.

I hope that whatever is going on is a positive secret! And yes, NOTHING like new bedding 🙂 I always have to shower right before I get into it to keep it “fresh,” hehe.

  2. Can’t wait to hear all about this secret 🙂 Sounds like you had a fun day. The hot chocolate sounds sooo yummy. And I agree that crisp sheets = better sleep!
