Breaded Chicken Idea

Hey, just a quick post tonight with a speedy recipe idea! For us, Friday dinner needs to be quick, simple and really yummy! Its the one night of the week when we get really tempted to get a takeaway. To avoid this, I planned a yummy dinner that we were both looking forward to.

Breaded Chicken Escalope

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 3 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 50ml milk
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 8 sage leaves
  • Black pepper


  • Flatten the chicken breasts with a rolling pin between 2 pieces of clingfilm
  • Finely chop the sage leaves and press onto the chicken breasts. Add ground black pepper
  • Set out 3 bowls; 1 with flour, 1 with egg beaten with milk, 1 with breadcrumbs
  • Dip the chicken first in flour, then egg mix, then breadcrumbs – shaking off the excess at each stage
  • Add the chicken to a frying pan with some spray oil and fry for 6 minutes on each side

Yummy! This tastes amazing! The chicken was delicious and the crumb went really crispy. I served this on some gnocchi with parmesan shavings and a salad. A perfect dinner 🙂
